Master of Science in Engineering Program (Online)

The MASTER OF SCIENCE IN ENGINEERING (Online) is a 36-unit program that provides a current overview of engineering through a broad survey of the technological, design, and management issues of the field. Program Requirements

A total of 9 core courses are required for program completion with grades “C” or better. Eight are required at the 100/200 level, with at least 5 at the 200 level and one directed study course (numbered E299). The latter course serves to satisfy the University of California requirement for a capstone event. This directed study course consists of an engineering research or design project.

Courses can be scheduled such that the total time to complete the program will be 2 academic years plus 1 additional quarter. Many students choose to take longer to complete the degree requirements.
